On Wednesday April 18, the Swimmers and Families of Freedom Aquatics came together at the beautiful Grand Oaks Country Club to celebrate the accomplishments of the 2017-2018 Short Course season as well as to bid farewell to some of our beloved Senior Swimmers.
The evening was highlighted by some very heartfelt and emotional speeches given by, and on behalf of, our Seniors. Connor, Jenna and Elena will truly be missed. But to quote Coach Nikolay, “They still have a lot of swimming left in the upcoming long course season!”
In other highlights, Daniel Belyaev and Elena Uttaro took home the prestigious Freedom’s Pride award while many swimmers were acknowledged for their accomplishments by receiving medals and mementos recognizing their highest meet attended. The Age Group High Points Trophies went to the following Swimmers:
8 & Under Girl – Addie Larson
8 & Under Boy – Matthew Temni
9 Year Old Girl – Imogine Miller
9 Year Old Boy – Omar Mohamed
10 Year Old Girl – Theodora D’Amelio
10 Year Old Boy – Andrew Krivenko
11 Year Old Gir – Alexa Deng
11 Year Old Boy – Hudson Pepper
12 Year Old Girl – Lauren Polito
12 Year Old Boy – Michael Tayban
13 Year Old Girl – Nicole Yildiz
13 Year Old Boy – William Kwan
14 Year Old Girl – Josephine Elwell
14 Year Old Boy – Anthony Attenborough
15-18 Year Old Girl – Danielle Cianciotto
15-18 Year Old Boy – Maxim Kleyer
In addition, Coach Nikolay and the members in attendance thanked parent, Jenny Uttaro, for her service on the Parent Committee while welcoming 3 new members to serve on it. David Sheehan, Allison Valenti and Paula Winters were all named as new members to the Committee, we thank them in advance for their dedication and service.
