From a stormy start to a bright finish.....
This years training trip started on Friday with a typical Florida storm that brought strong winds and thunderstorms to the Bolles facility forcing instructors and swimmers to seek shelter as the first morning practice was coming to an end. The week ended much brighter with nearly every Freedom swimmer posting personal bests at the 2019 BSS 50.
The days in between saw swimmers challenged to train like some have never trained before. For most it was the first time they experienced double practice days while for others it was deja vu to training trips of the past. Each day was filled with drills and technique training specifically designed to prepare for the start of a successful long-course season, and as evident by the BSS 50 results, swimmers are well on their way to achieving this objective.
A special thanks to all parents that volunteered to help during this successful trip. Whether volunteering on the pool deck, at the meet or in assisting with accommodations for coaches and Freedom families, we would like to extend a sincere Thank You.
